(1) What's PowerJOG

 After installing of PowerJOG and starting it, you can activate PowerJOG by keep pressing Jog Dial. From menu of PowerJOG, you can push screen buttons, execute menus, launch application and so on with only Jog Dial! 
 Also , you can scroll screen by Jog Dial even in applications which is not Jog Dial aware. and can choose pop up list by Jog Dial.

(From PowerJOG menu)

• Push screen button in some Dialog Window

(*1) You can't Power On by Jog Dial due to Hardware restriction 
(*2) DA is a kind of software which enhances PalmOS. 
(*3) This feature is not valid when you can't scroll screen by hardware scroll buttons. You can't choose item by pressing Jog Dial like built-in application

(3) Basic Operations

 Keep Pressing -> Activate PowerJOG Menu /  Cancel operation 
 Press and release -> Choose item (Button, Menu, Application etc.) 
 Rotate -> Move selected item by one 
 Rotate while pressing -> Move selected item by page 

 Anytime, you can show PowerJOG menu by keep pressing Jog Dial. This is the entrance of PowerJOG. 

(4) Cautions

•  In some applications, PowerJOG won't run or it's functionality is limited.
•  When using Jog Dial aware application, there's a chance that some functionality of application is limited.
•  Some application will stop PowerJOG in order to avoid compatibility problem. Please refer to the application's manual.
•  When using PowerJOG, actions (like changing category) is occurred when you release Jog Dial, not when press Jog Dial (originally)
• Please refer to trouble shooting when there's troubles.
• There's no warranty on the quality of this software. please evaluate carefully before purchasing. 
• You can't reverse engineering of this software.

(5) Installation / Update

Use PowerJOG for the first time　---> read and follow （First time Install）

Using Trial version of PowerJOG and purchased it ---> read and follow　（Install License file）

Using Beta version of PowerJOG ---> read and follow （Update）

（First time Install）

　Install powerjog-e.prc and powerjog-license.prc( if you have) to CLIE by Hot Sync or via Memory Stick. Please refer to manual of CLIE how to install softwares. 

　When installed by Hot Sync, you're requested to reset . Push Reset button and PowerJOG will be running. 
When installed via Memory Stick, start PowerJOG by ( Starting) . 

（Install License File）

　Install powerjog-license.prc to CLIE by Hot Sync or via Memory Stick. Please refer to manual of CLIE how to install softwares. 

（Update）

　Refer to （Stopping） to stop PowerJOG.　and install powerjog-e.prc and powerjog-license.prc to CLIE by Hot Sync or via Memory Stick. You're requested to reset CLIE. 
 After installing , launch PowerJOG from home and push ON button to start PowerJOG. 

（Deleting）

　Refer to （Stopping) to stop PowerJOG . Go to home and choose Delete from menu. Choose PowerJOG and push delete button. 

（Stopping）
　You must stop PowerJOG before delete or update PowerJOG. To stop PowerJOG, go to home and  launch PowerJOG first. 
 WHen following screen appeared, push OFF button. 

　Push OK when following screen appears

（Starting）

　You can start PowerJOG by almost same step with (Stopping). Only difference is push ON button instead of OFF button. 

(About, Help）
　In the PowerJOG screen, you can see message from author and help screen by pushing screen buttons. 
 

(6) Execute menu

1. Press Keeping Jog Dial to show up PowerJOG menu
2. Rotate Jog DIal and choose "Menu"
3. Press and release Jog Dial to show up menu
4. Rotate Jog Dial to choose menu item to execute
5. Press and release Jog Dial

• Rotate Jog Dial --> Choose menu item/ When top menu items is selected, rotate Jog Dial up will move to next right menu
• Press and release --> Execute selected menu
• Keep pressing or tap screen --> Cancel

　 
　　　　
 When there's no menu, following screen will appear. Press and release Jog Dial to erase this warning. 

(7) Push screen button

1. Press Keeping Jog Dial to show up PowerJOG menu
2. Rotate Jog Dial and choose "Button"
3. Press and release Jog Dial
4. Rotate Jog Dial to choose screen button to push
5. Press and release Jog Dial

• Rotate Jog Dial --> Choose button
• Press and release --> Execute selected menu
• Keep pressing Jog Dial or tap screen --> Cancel

(8) Launch Application

1. Press Keeping Jog Dial to show up PowerJOG menu
2. Rotate Jog Dial and choose "Launch App"
3. Press and release Jog Dial
4. Choose application
5. Press and release Jog Dial

• Rotate Jog Dial --> Move selected application by one
• Press and release when application is selected --> Launch selected application
• Press and release when Prev Page or Next Page is selected --> show next applications 
• Rotate while pressing --> Move to top or last of list
• Keep pressing Jog Dial or tap screen --> Cancel

(9) Launch DA (Desk Accessory)

1. Press Keeping Jog Dial to show up PowerJOG menu
2. Rotate Jog Dial and choose "Launch DA"
3. Press and release Jog Dial
4. Choose application
5. Press and release Jog Dial

• Rotate Jog Dial --> Move selected application by one
• Press and release when DA is selected --> Launch selected DA
• Press and release when Prev Page or Next Page is selected --> show next DAs 
• Rotate while pressing --> Move to top or last of list

Keep pressing Jog Dial or tap screen --> Cancel 

(*) DA (Desk Accessory) is a kind of software which enhances PalmOS . You can launch DA without quitting current application. 
 No DA is installed when you bought Clie, You must install DAs. You can find "Back Light DA" and " Lock & OFF DA" in Sample-DA directory. Please install and try it. 

   Some DA is not compatible with "Stop DA" function and don't quit when you choose "Stop DA" from PowerJOG menu. Please refer to the manual of each DA and stop it manually. 

  Message will show up when no DA is installed. 

(10) Stop PowerJOG

 When you launch this application again, you need to choose Stop P-JOG again to stop PowerJOG. 

 Use this feature to avoid compatibility problem. 
 

Caution!!: After choosing Stop P-JOG, PowerJOG menu won't appear. But other features( choosing pop up list, pushing buttons in Dialog Window) is valid though. 
 Some application stop PowerJOG automatically. Please refer to application's manual.

(11) PowerOff / Home / Help

 Choose Home from PowerJOG menu to move to home. If you're already in home , home screen move to next category. 

 Choose Help from PowerJOG menu to show PowerJOG help. Rotate Jog Dial to show next/previous help screen. Press and release Jog Dial to go back to the previous screen. 

(12) Other Functions

Choose pop up list item by Jog Dial 

 First go to Home screen then tap category pop up trigger the upper right corner. Now you can move item by rotating Jog Dial and choose category by pressing and releasing Jog Dial. 

Push screen button in Dialog Widow 

 Some window shows buttons with double frame shown below. In this window, you can move to next/previous screen button by rotating Jog Dial and push it by pressing and  releasing Jog Dial 

Scroll screen by Jog Dial 

 In many applications like DateBK3/BK4, Mail, Expense and so on, you can scroll screen by rotating Jog Dial. ( you don't have to activate PowerJOG menu)  You can scroll scren but can't choose item like in built in applications. 

 When screen don't scroll by Jog Dial, activate PowerJOG menu and choose PowerUp, then screen will scroll. 

Caution!! 
 In case when screen won't scroll by Up/Down hard button, this feature is don't work. 
 

(13) Trouble Shooting

  Go to home by tapping home icon and launch PowerJOG. then confirm ON button is selected. If OFF is selected, push ON to start PowerJOG. 

  If "Trial period expired" is shown, install powerjog-license.prc and start PowerJOG again. 

  When you're using MS Autorun , there's a chance that PowerJOG won't start. Remove Memory Stick and start PowerJOG again. 

（Trouble 2) PowerJOG menu won't show up in specific  application

  Some application which is compatible with Jog Dial stops PowerJOG. Please refer to the manual of application. 
  In rare chance, application is not compatible with PowerJOG. Please send report to support@simple-palm.com. 

（Trouble 3）Screen won't scroll bu Jog Dial

　First, push Up/Down Hard button. If screen scrolls by it. Activate PowerJOG menu and choose PowerUp. then screen will scroll by Jog Dial. If screen won't scroll by Up/Down hard button, you can't scroll screen by Jog Dial. 
  When you soft reset CLIE, you need to Power Up again. 

（Trouble 4）When press keeping Jog Dial, PowerJOG menu will appear and different from application's manual.

  Choose Stop P-JOG from PowerJOG menu. PowerJOG stops temporarily and you can use application'S original features. 

（Trouble 5）When try to delete PowerJOG, it shows "Can't delete PowerJOG"

　You can't delete PowerJOG while PowerJOG is running. Go to PowerJOG and push OFF button and delete it. 

（Trouble 6）When choose Menu from PowerjOG menu, it show 'There's no menu in this screen", though menu will come when tap menu icon.

　In rare situation this trouble occurs. Please choose menu by stylus. 

（Trouble 7）In Jog Dial compatible application like Memo Pad ,Address, To Do screen will scroll by page when Rotate Jog Dial. Originally rotate Jog Dial move to next item

　This will occur when you choose PowerUp in Jog Dial compatible application. Activate PowerJOG menu and choose Stop PowerUp . 

（Trouble 8） In home screen, choose Home from PowerJOG menu will change screen.

　This is normal operation. Choosing Home when you're in home will move to next category. 

（Trouble 9）Menu will disappear when rotate Jog DIal

  You can't operate menu by Jog Dial when you show up menu by tapping menu icon. Activate PowerJOG menu and choose menu to operate menu with Jog Dial. 

（Trouble 10） Can't choose screen button when choose Button from PowerJOG menu.

  In some application, there's a chance that objects that looks like button is not a button internally and you can't push it by PowerJOG. Please tap it to push it. 

(Trouble 11） Operations like changing category or choose item occurs when release Jog Dial which originally occurred when pressed Jog Dial.

  This is normal operation when PowerJOG is running. Choose Stop P-JOG from PowerJOG menu to back to original . 

（Trouble 12） Memory Stick won't be recognized when insert it.

　Memory Stick won't be recognized when you insert Memory Stick when PowerJOG menu is showing or you're choosing buttons or choosing menus. Please remove and re-insert it while you're not using PowerJOG. 

（Trouble 13） When you rotate Jog Dial, item moves twice or screen scrolls twice.

　In some Jog Dial compatible application. This trouble occurs . Choose Stop P-JOG from PowerJOG menu to avoid this trouble. 

（Trouble 14）When choose Launch DA from PowerJOG menu, it shows 'No DAs installed"

　Originally no DA is installed in CLIE. You need to install your favourite DAs. In PowerJOG there's 2 DAs in Sample-DA directory. Please install them by Hot Sync or via Memory Stick. and choose Launch DA from PowerJOG menu.  You can find many DAs in PalmGear HQ( http://www.palmgear.com) 

（Trouble 15）When launch PowerJOG, it shows "Trial version" or "Trial period expired" though I purchased PowerJOG.

　Install powerjog-license.prc from package you purchased . 

（Trouble 16）In 3rd party application, Can't choose item by Jog Dial pressing.

　This is normal . You can scroll screen by Jog Dial rotation but can't choose item by Jog Dial. Please choose item by pen.
